Biography:

Mr. Smith practices in the area of patent acquisition. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Smith worked for several years as a computer programmer and analyst. He has developed a number of mainframe software systems and has experience with several computer languages and technologies. In 2001, he obtained Microsoft certification in Visual Basic 6.0.

While in law school, Mr. Smith earned a Certificate in Sports Law and served as a staff editor on the Florida Coastal Law Review. He has authored two articles: “Davis v. Washington: Crawford Revisited?”, Supreme Court Preview, 7 Florida Coastal Law Review Special Supplement, 2005, and “Clarett v. NFL: More a Warning than a Victory,” 7 Florida Coastal Law Review, Summer 2006.
