Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, Milbrath & Gilchrist, P.A. welcomes
unsolicited résumés from experienced attorneys
and patent agents. The specific experience sought will depend
on the needs of the firm's practice groups at particular
times. Examples of preferred experience are listed below
by ADDMG practice group.
Intellectual Property:
Patents: The primary need has been for attorneys with an
E.E. degree and experience in semiconductors, and communications.
However, ADDMG practitioners are active in many other technologies,
and the firm will consider applicants with experience in
most engineering disciplines, in chemistry, pharmaceuticals,
medical technologies, and biotechnology. Although most of
ADDMG's patent attorneys are engineers, the firm also includes
several attorneys and patent agents who are scientists by
training, and applicants with relevant scientific backgrounds
will also be considered.
Trademarks: ADDMG trademark practitioners are involved not
only in counseling clients on trademark issues and prosecuting
trademark applications, but also in trademark related litigation.
Attorneys with a similar background will be considered.
Copyrights: Attorneys with significant experience in copyright
matters, particularly in copyright related litigation, will
be considered.
Licensing and Other: Experience in cyberlaw issues, domain
names, domain name dispute resolution, and domain name/trademark
conflicts will be considered. Experience in licensing intellectual
property, in patents, trademarks, copyrights, as well as
in franchising will also be considered.
Business Litigation:
ADDMG will consider attorneys having significant commercial
litigation experience, for example, agent and broker liability,
medical and legal malpractice, bad faith and insurance coverage,
products liability, commercial contracts, consumer law, aviation,
advertising injury, trade secrets and deceptive trade practices.
Preferred experience will involve intellectual property litigation,
including patent, trademark, and copyright.
Securities Arbitration and Litigation:
The firm will consider attorneys with significant experience
in retail securities, particularly litigating against brokerage
houses. Experience in arbitration proceedings under AAA and
NASD rules, and especially in arbitrations involving securities
issues, is of interest to the firm.
SUPPORT STAFF RECRUITMENT
ADDMG recruits
support staff as needed, and for most positions prefers those
having prior experience in a law firm. Paralegals and secretaries
with experience in intellectual property are particularly
preferred. Nevertheless, the decision to hire a new support
staff member is based on the person's prior experience and
on interviews with key staff and professionals with whom
the new staff member will be working.
Résumés are not accepted unless there is a
specific position open at the firm. Open positions will generally
be posted on this web site, and advertised in local publications.
When there is an open staff position, contact should be made
with the Office Manager, at ADDMG's principal office.
